G.B. di Crollalanza, edito presso la direzione del giornale araldico, Pisa 1888. Note: Famiglia nobile e antica, i cui membri sotto il dominio dei signori della Scala sostennero le primarie cariche di governatori e tesorieri delle pubbliche entrate. Tommaso Pellegrini nel 1355 fu da Can della Scala nominato esecutore testamentario e tutore de suoi figli. In seguito, poi che Verona passò sotto il dominio di Venezia, i Pellegrini nel 1405 furono ascritti a quel nobile Consiglio. Più tardi furono decorati del titolo di marchesi dai sovrani di Mantova, e di quella di conti per infeudazione e per conferimento del Pontefice Pio V. Giuseppe nel XVIII secolo fu maresciallo al servizio dell'Impero Austriaco, consigliere intimo, cav. del Toson d' Oro ed aggregato ai magnati d'Ungheria. Ignazio, fratello del precedente, fu al servizio del Granduca di Toscana, in qualità di suo colonnello e ciambellano. Con sovrana risoluzione 9 Die. 1819 fu confermata a questa famiglia la sua avita nobiltà, e con altra sovrana risoluzione 20 Die. 1820 le fu accordata la dignità ed il titolo di conte dell'Impero Austriaco.
